WHAT CAN I SAY..I LOVE SUMMER SALMON FISHING!!!

HEY THERE MY FELLOW FISHERMEN AND WOMAN. THERE IS YET ANOTHER THREAT TO OUR NATURAL HABITAT THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. AT PRESENT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF ASIAN CARP IN THE AMERICAN WATERSHED SYSTEM. THEY HAVE WORKED THERE WAY NORTH AND ARE PRESENTLY BEING HELD AT BAY IN THE CHICAGO WATER SYSTEM. THE BARRIER IN THAT AREA IS THE ONLY THING THAT IS STOPPING THEIR NORTHWARD INVASION INTO THE GREAT LAKES.
IF THEY ARE NOT HELD AT BAY IN THAT AREA THEY WILL PENETRATE INTO THE GREAT LAKES VERY QUICKLY. IF THAT HAPPENS WE WILL LOOSE OUR SALMON AND TROUT POPULATIONS ALONG WITH MANY OTHER GAME FISH SUCH AS THE WALLEYE AND BASS POPULATIONS OF LAKE ERIE. IT WAS BAD WITH THE ZEBRA MUSCLES, GOBBIES AND CORMORANTS WHICH HAVE SERIOUSLY EFFECTED OUR FISH POPULATIONS ESPECIALLY OUR BAIT FISH POPULATIONS. LESS FOOD MEANS LESS GAME FISH!!
THE ASIAN CARP IS A LARGE FISH THAT FEEDS AGGRESSIVELY AND SPAWNS AT AN EXTREMELY HIGH RATE COMPARED TO NATIVE FISH. YOU MAY HAVE SEEN THE VIDEOS OF PEOPLE DRIVING THEIR BOATS AND FISH JUMPING OUT OF THE WATER INTO BOATS SERIOUSLY HURTING PEOPLE. BUT FAR WORSE THAN EVEN THAT IS THE DEVASTATING EFFECT THAT THEY WILL HAVE ON OUR FISHERIES. IF THEY ARE ALLOWED TO GET PAST THE BARRIER THEY WILL DESIMATE OUR VERY DELICATE NATURAL BALANCE. WHEN ALLOWED INTO A WATER SYSTEM THEY BECOME 95 % OF THE FISH POPULATION WITHIN 10 YEARS. A VERY SCARY THOUGHT!
WE MUST STOP THE INVASION BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE TAKE A COUPLE OF MINUTES TO SIGN A PETITION TO STOP THIS NON NATIVE SPECIES FROM INVADING THE GREAT LAKES.
